ORGANIZING THE BARRIOS AND SITIOS ON DARAM AND PARASAN ISLANDS, MUNICIPALITY OF ZUMARRAGA, PROVINCE OF SAMAR, INTO AN INDEPENDENT MUNICIPALITY UNDER THE NAME OF DARAM.
Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of the Interior, and pursuant to the provisions of section sixty-eight of the Revised Administrative Code, the barrios and sitios located on the Islands of Daram and Parasan, municipality of Zumarraga, Province of Samar, are hereby organized into an independent municipality to be known as the municipality of Daram, with the seat of government at the barrio of Daram.
The municipality of Zumarraga shall have its present territory minus the portion thereof included in the municipality of Daram.
The municipality of Daram shall begin to exist upon the appointment and qualification of the mayor, vice-mayor, and a majority of the councilors thereof. The said new municipality shall, however, assume payment of a proportionate share of the obligation of the mother municipality of Zumarraga to the Loan Fund as may be outstanding on the date of its organization, the proportion of such payment to be determined by the Department of Finance.
