ORGANIZING A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ANGADANAN, PROVINCE OF ISABELA, INTO AN INDEPENDENT MUNICIPALITY UNDER THE NAME OF ALICIA.
Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of the Interior and pursuant to the provisions of section 68 of the Revised Administrative Code, there is hereby created in the Province of Isabela a municipality to be known as the municipality of Alicia, which shall consist of the western portion of the municipality of Angadanan, Province of Isabela, more particularly described and bounded as follows:
“From a point known as MBM No. 1, of Echague cadastre, N. 87° 53' E., 1,844.42 meters to MBM No. 2; thence N. 89° 02' E., 1,518.07 m. to MBM No. 3; thence N. 85° 24' E., 1,516.17 m. to MBM No. 4; thence S. 81° 02' E., 1,516.28 m. to MBM No. 5; thence S. 70° 54' E,. 1,772.60 m. to MBM No. 6; thence S. 80° 48' E., 1,391.52 m. to MBM No. 7; thence S. 69° 08' E., 935.72 m. to MBM No. 8; Whence N. 62° 10' E., 697.50 m. to MBM 9; thence S. 33° 09' E., 2,163.20 m. to MBM No. 10; thence S. 12° 01' E., 1,652.18 m. to MBM No. 11; thence S. 66° 34' E., 200.00 m. to MBM No. 12; thence N. 29° -22' E., 14,339.66 m. to MBM No. 13; thence N. 51° 29' W., 500.00 m. to MBM No. 14; thence N. 68° 33' W., 10,617.75 m. to MBM No. 15; thence S. 29° 09' W., 6,221.43 m. to MBM 16; thence S. 40° 55' W., 2,032.05 m. to MBM No. 17; thence S. 41° 50' W., 2,693.94 m. to MBM No. 18; thence S. 42° 46' W., 2,370.56 m. to MBM 19; thence S. 42° 46' W., 2,370.56 in. to MBM No. 19; thence S. 42° 39' W., 2,365,28 m. to MBM No. 1, point of beginning.”
The municipality of Alicia contains the following barrios: Angadanan Viejo, which shall be the seat of government, Amistad, Bantug, Pitines, Barancuag, Dalakip, M. H. del Pilar, Rizal, San Francisco, and Victoria, and the sitios of Apanay, Bagnos, Bonifacio, Burgos, Callao, Dagupan, Inanama, Lingliñgay, Padclad, San Juan, Santa Cruz, Santo Domingo, Santo Tomas, Mettagan, Pidong, Ritulo and Tuiigao.
The municipality of Angadanan shall have its present territory minus the portion thereof included in the municipality of Alicia.
The municipality of Alicia shall begin to exist upon the appointment and qualification of the mayor, vice-mayor, and a majority of the councilors thereof, but in no case earlier than November 15, 1949.
