CREATING A COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF CARRYING OUT THE PROJECT CONTEMPLATED IN PROCLAMATION NO. 357 DATED DECEMBER 2, 1952, ENTITLED “RESERVING FOR AGRICULTURAL SETTLEMENT PURPOSES A CERTAIN PARCEL OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF TANAY AND MONTALBAN, PROVINCE OF RIZAL, ISLAND OF LUZON”
WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 357 dated December 2, 1952, a certain parcel of the land of the public domain with an area of approximately 25, 475 hectares situated in the municipalities of Tanay and Montalban, Province of Rizal, has been reserved for agricultural settlement purposes; and
WHEREAS. The effective implementation of said proclamation requires the creation of a committee to take charge of executing the project therein contemplated; NOW, THEREFORE, I, ELPIDIO QUIRINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby create a committee composed of the following;

which shall take charge of carrying out the project envisioned in Proclamation No. 357 dated December 2, 1952, involving:
(1) the construction of a highway from Tanay to Montalban, Rizal;
(2) the subdivision of the area traversed by this road into small lots of not exceeding ten hectares each, within a distance of at least six kilometers from both sides of the road;
(3) the construction feeder roads to make these lots accessible from the main highway;
(4) the construction of irrigation dams in appropriate places so as to provide water for irrigation purposes; and
(5) the adoption measures on flood control.
Out of the 25,475 hectares reserved in Proclamation No. 357 dated December 2, 1952, the Committee shall set aside 10,000 hectares exclusively for war veterans.
The Committee shall from time to time submit to the President of the Philippines reports on the progress of the project.
